How to maximize fat loss by working out first thing in the morning.

The best time to workout for fat loss is first thing in the morning before you eat anything. Early in the morning, your levels of stored carbohydrates are at their lowest point. You body is forced to dip into your fat stores to get the energy it needs to perform. Studies show that this type of workout may may burn up to 300% more fat that working out after you eat.

If you workout in the morning you will also benefit from an elevated metabolism throughout the day. After you fall asleep your metabolism goes to its lowest point. If you wait until the evening to workout you will not get the advantage of this extended boost in your metabolism.

Studies show that you are much more likely to continue with a workout program if you do it in the morning. In the morning you have fewer distractions and your energy has not been depleted by other activities.

Working out before eating is best for low impact, low stress workouts like walking. If the workout is too extreme, your body may actually burn muscles instead of fat. When you loose muscle, you will burn fewer calories throughout the day. If you are more concerned about cardiovascular fitness than about fat loss, eat before you work out. You need those extra calories to increase your performance.

If you want to loose fat, the best thing to do is to wake up, immediately put on your workout clothes and jogging shoes and get out the door!

1Easier to work out in the morning
Easier to work out right when you wake up. Your mind is still sleepy, it cannot think of creative excuses.

2Easier to Work Out in the Morning
You get less distractions in the morning as well. I heard that you burn more calories when you work out at night (because you ate them during the day and burn them off before you go to sleep where they turn to fat). However, people are more successful when they work out in the morning because they are not distracted.

3I am not a morning person
I am just not a morning person. It is easier for me to work out right after work. But, I cannot do anything before working out! No TV..no checking emails...just hello and working out.

4Walking is good Yoga is bad in the morning
Walking in the morning sounds like a good tip. But other things like Yoga or stretching are not good for me. My body is too cold. If you are going to lift weights or stretch make sure you warm up well especially if doing it right when you wake up.

5A Great way to start the day
I now work out every day. I just walk around the neighborhood. Each morning is different. I am excited to wake up!
