How to get yourself to workout by starting with 5 minutes.
|
 | Momentum is very powerful. The trick is to make working out and eating right habits in your life. When you do these things every day the power of momentum will automatically push you.
Studies have show that people who workout for 6 months straight, feel the need to workout. When they skip a workout, they feel like something is missing.
Momentum works for single workouts as well. Just getting going is sometimes enough to pull you through the workout. Tell yourself that you will at least workout for 5 minutes. Once your blood gets pumping, workout feels great! You will be surprised how often 5 minute turns into 1 hour.
When you don’t feel like you have the energy, just get going for 5 minutes and see what happens.

| It is sometimes hard to find a full hour to workout. Take several small breaks during the day and do a 5 minute workout.

| That is the hardest part. Once you start you tend to finish. If you tell yourself "just 5 minutes" it makes it easier to start.

| 3 | The Five Minute Rule |
| This is an old tip. I learned it in "College Success" class my Freshman year. To get over procrastinating, just do 5 minutes. For studying, working out or anything else. Just start. Once you start you procrastinate stopping. Just changing state is the hard part.
