How to prevent illness and infections by washing your hands.

Washing you hands may be the best way to prevent the spread of germs. You use your hands to touch. You touch phones, faucets, sinks, toilets and other people. Your hands contact countless surfaces swarming with germs.

Avoid touching your nose, mouth, eyes and ears. If you have to, make sure to wash your hands first.

It is best to wash your hands in hot water (not too hot!) for at least 30 seconds straight. Make sure to dry your hands with a clean towel.

Remember to wash your hands at these times:

1. Make sure to wash your hands before you eat.
2. Wash your hands before and after you use the restroom.
3. Wash them before and after you touch your mouth, nose, eyes or ears.
4. Wash those hands after you shake hands with another person.
5. Wash them before you go to sleep and when you wake up in the morning.
6. Wash them before you brush your teeth.
7. Wash them before you put anything into your mouth (including gum, vitamins, aspirin or a cigarette).
8. Wash you hands after you have been to a public area (and used a public phone, door, handle or counter top).

These are great for cleaning your hands. Those sanitizers just trap the germs on your hands. Wipes get everything off.

3Make You Kids Wash Their Hands
I transfered my pre-schooler to a new day care a few months ago. At the new place, hand washing is a priority. They wash their hands after bathroom, when they come in from outside and before they eat. I must say, the kids seem much healthier than the last place.
