How to achieve your goals faster by visualizing the results.
|
 | Visualization is a very powerful technique that can help you achieve your goals faster. Studies have shown that performance is greatly enhanced when you first visualize the situation and your actions.
To visualize your goals, follow these steps
1. Lie down or sit in a comfortable chair.
2. Close your eyes and take a few deep, cleansing breaths (where you completely exhale all the air from your lungs and then deeply inhale to completely fill your lungs).
3.Try to completely relax your body. Start by focusing on your toes until they are completely relaxed. Move up your legs to your calves and image that they are totally relaxed. Keep moving up your body trying to completely release all tension from every muscle. Don’t forget the muscles in your neck and face.
4. Now say your goal in your mind 3 times. Say it like you have already achieved it. For example, say “I have 5 million dollars”, or “I found the partner of my dreams!”
5. Now imagine that you have already achieved this goal. You are there! You have done it! Think about how this makes you feel. Think about how happy you are. Think about the pride you feel. Make sure to touch on all of your senses. How do things look? How do things feel? What smells are in the air? How are you walking? How are you standing? How do you look? How do you interact with others around you? How do others feel and interact with you? How do you celebrate achieving this goal?
Practice visualizing, you will get better. When you make your visualization as real as possible, you are teaching your mind. In the moment, your mind will start to have trouble telling what is real and what is not (we have all had dreams where we thought that something was real. Have you flinched when you visualized yourself falling?) The same is true when you visualize your goals. Your mind starts to think that they are real. Some of us have limiting beliefs about what we think is possible. When you visualize, you make your mind see the goal as being true! This breaks down those doubts. If you can see, hear, smell and feel your goal being achieved, your mind realizes that it can happen. You will be much more likely to achieve your goal!
The best time to visualize is right before you go to sleep and right when you wake up. Remember when you were visualizing yourself falling and your body jerked. This probably happened right before you went to sleep or right after you woke up. During this time, your mind is very susceptible to suggestion, making it the best time to visualize your goals.

| 1 | Visualization Trains Your Subconscious Mind |
| You subconscious mind controls most of what you do. You can only think about one thing at a time with your conscious mind. While you figure out a problem, your subconscious keeps you walking and breathing. By visualizing, you train your subconscious to perform. When the time comes, it will know what to do and do it automatically.
