How to get over the fear of failure and see failure as a learning experience that gets you closer to accomplishing your goals.

The fear of failure is a very limiting belief that can stop you from achieving your goals. If you have pain associated with failure you will find it difficult to start anything. Get rid of this limiting belief!

Stop using the word, “failure”. Stop thinking about failure. The truth is that failure is impossible as long as you try. How can you really fail? If you try something and learn from it, this is success! You took action! You learned! You are now closer to your goals!

Thoughts are linked together. One idea leads to the next. If you fear failure, you are already letting your mind think of ways to accomplish this visualization! Do not do it! Think positive thoughts of success and you mind will open up to new ideas and ways for you to achieve this success.

Success is always preceded by a long string of “learning experiences”. This just makes the success more valuable and your persistence more admirable. Read biographies of people like Abraham Lincoln, Henry Ford, Walt Disney or any other person you think is successful. They all faced set backs. They all learned from their experiences and kept going.

To see how much the fear of failure is limiting you, try this exercise. Take out a piece of paper. Now, write down what you would do if failure was not a possibility. Imaging that success is guaranteed! Would you start that business? Would you ask for that raise? Would you approach that special person? The main thing stopping you from doing these things is your fear of failure.

Remember that there is one sure thing. If you do not try, you are guaranteed to fail. There is no way you can reach a goal unless you go for it!

“Think like a queen. A queen is not afraid to fail. Failure is another steppingstone to greatness.” - Oprah Winfrey

4Practice Makes Perfect
Think of your experience in life as practice. You learn from them. This state of mind makes things less stressful and makes every experience a success, because you do not forget to learn.

5Successful People Fail
This is true. I have not met a single successful person who did not have a HUGE failure at some point. You cannot be afraid to fail. You have to be able to take big risks. This includes being able to work very hard without knowing if the payoff is certain.
