How to improve your conversations and relationships by talking about other people’s interests.

When you have a conversation with someone, find out what that person is interested in. That person has some unique skill or hobby. Find out what this is and get that person talking about it. They have worked to hone this skill. They will be very happy to have it appreciated!

If you are just meeting the person, notice how they dress. Does this tell you anything about them? Are they wearing a t-shirt that tells you directly! Are they wearing some kind of gear specific to an activity? Are they wearing hand made jewelry? What about their car? Do they have stickers? Do they have some sort of rack on the car? Is it a fast sports car? Is it a truck? Ask the person what they are doing on the weekend and go from there.

By talking about their skills and interests, you make them feel important. You remind them that they are contributing and they will feel happy and want to be around you. Truly admire these people and you will see the effects.
