How to make your home a cleaner, healthier place by leaving your shoes outside.

Why take your shoes off inside?

Studies show that your shoes bring many harmful chemicals and germs into your home. Think about what you have stepped in today! Did you walk in a public restroom? Did you step in the road or gutter? Did you step in a stagnant puddle of water? Did you step on a lawn that was covered with harmful pesticides or fertilizing chemicals? Do you really want traces of these materials in your house?

If you do not like going without shoes, keep some “indoor” slippers by your door. A matt outside your door will also help clean shoes before they get inside.

3Have a Pet Rug
Outside the door and inside the door. Get a pet rug with long bristles. Put it in a place where they have to run over it. It does not get the feet totally clean, but it helps

5Make it obvious that shoes stay by the door
This is how you let your guests know that they should leave their shoes outside. Have a lot of shoes out there on a shelf or something. When the guest sees the shoes, they leave them there. Or they are just rude.
