| 9.5 | Goals Tip - Stop Being "Realistic" |
|
How to start doing the impossible by removing the phrase, “Be realistic”, from your vocabulary.
|
 | Never say the phrase, “Be realistic”, again. If you say it to yourself, you limit the power of your mind. You automatically shut of the creative possibilities available to you. If you say this to others, never do it again! You are shutting them down. You are creating the limiting beliefs that something is not possible. We all know that anything is possible!
Most of the time, “Be realistic”, is an attempt at avoiding pain. It is a result of fear. Often people who tell you to be realistic are insecure themselves. They may be jealous. They may be projecting their own wants onto you. Do not believe them. There are many people just like you who have accomplished goals similar to yours.
People who are extremely successful are rarely “realistic”. They do the impossible. They do not let other people define their beliefs about what can be done and what cannot be done.
When you start to write down your goals instead of thinking ,“Be realistic”, start thinking “Be amazing!”.
“It's kind of fun to do the impossible” – Walt Disney.
