How to improve a negative attitude and make yourself feel happy right away



Smile! It is almost impossible to feel bad while you are smiling. Try it. Think of something sad, something depressing. How do you feel? Now smile! Really smile! SMILE!!!! Not just with your mouth but with your eyes as well. Sit up tall. Smile with your whole body. How do you feel? Studies prove that you will in fact feel better.

The mind and body work together. You cannot separate one from the other. Your mind feeds on the posture and actions of your body. If you start to jump up and down, your mind takes this as a signal that it is time to get ready for physical activity. It will then trigger the necessary functions to get you into a state that is ready for action. If you think of depressing thoughts, your mind will start to send signals to your body that will slow down systems and reactions. Your body will start to slump, you will look down and your reaction time will slow.

When you smile, the part of your brain that controls your emotional happiness is stimulated. Brain scans show that the same part of the brain is stimulated in people who are really happy and people who are just told to hold a smile.

Nerve cells go through your entire body. Your muscles have memories of their own. After you repeat a physical motion many times, your muscles begin to predict the action and is able to function without your conscious thought. When you start to think of things that are associated with this action, your mind will trigger the muscle memory.

It is clear that your actions effect your mood and your mood effects your actions. This is great news! You can now make yourself feel better any time you need to. TURN ON THE SMILE!!

There is a downside. The bad news is that your physiology can also make you feel worse. Slumping down, frowning or looking down can all increase your negative feelings.

Always remember that you are in control. You can feel positive emotions any time you want. Stand up straight and smile!

I bet you look fine when you smile! Just stop worrying about it. Happiness looks great! When you find yourself worrying, think about something you love to do.

5Stand up tall
I found that when I am feeling down I get all hunched over. Stand up tall. Take a deep breath. Forget and move on and up!
