How to become who you really want to be by writing it down.
Who do you want to be 10 years from now?

A pattern for most people is that they greatly overestimate what they can accomplish in one year, but they greatly UNDERESTIMATE what they can accomplish in 10 years! What are you going to do in the next 10 years? To get somewhere amazing, you have to know where you are going.

Sit down and write where you want to be in 10 years. Put the date 10 years from now on the top of the page. Write the page like it has already happened. Write it like it is an article about you in Success Magazine! Who are you? What have you done? Who have you helped? What amazing things have you accomplished? How have you improved yourself? What do you look like? How do you feel? How is your personal life? How is your monetary situation? What have you done for your community? What have you done for future generations?

Think about what you are going to accomplish in these main areas of your life:

Career
Family
Community
Financial
Personal
Recreation

Remember that you have 10 years. You can learn and do a lot in 10 years. The 10 year goal window is valuable for setting those “amazing” goals! These are your real dreams! What amazing things could you accomplish if you had any skill and all the necessary resources?

Go back and read your article. Now all you have to do is start taking action! Start taking steps (even if they are very small steps) EVERY DAY toward accomplishing your goals! Remember if you skip a day it is like taking two steps back (make sure you do something each day, even if it is just some research for a program, or just sending away for a brochure). Get help from experts. If you keep moving toward your goals, all you need is time (You have 10 years for these goals!). If you keep taking steps every day it is inevitable that you will reach your goals.

You will be amazed when you look back 10 years from now and see how close you are to this ideal image of yourself. You will have no regrets looking back.
