How to replace your limiting beliefs with ones that lead to success.

Personal belief is very powerful. Our beliefs define what we think is possible. As a result, our beliefs set the limit on what we can accomplish.

If you believe that you cannot accomplish something, your mind will automatically eliminate this thing as a possibility. However, if you do believe that something is possible, your mind will help you. Your subconscious will actively reveal ideas that lead toward the successful completion of the goal.

With this new belief in mind, you will start to come across stories of people just like you who were able to accomplish the same things you want to accomplish. Your new focus will help you highlight new information to back up your beliefs. This is called reconfirming evidence. It is a psychological phenomenon that affects all humans as we go through life building a case for each of our beliefs. Choose to believe that you can accomplish something. Keep this idea in mind. Even if you do not believe it right away, you will quickly find cases that back up it up.

Are your beliefs currently holding you back? Replace your old limiting beliefs with new ones that make it possible to achieve your dreams.

The first step is to write down the limiting belief in a notebook. It may be a belief that you are not smart and cannot learn. It may be a belief that you are destined to be over weight. It may be anything that is keeping you from trying.

The next step is to write down the opposite, positive belief. You can loose weight. You can get smarter. You can accomplish anything you want to accomplish.

The third step is to gather evidence of people like you who overcame the limiting belief. Look for stories of people who have lost weight. Look for stories of people who have overcome learning disabilities. You will find that there are cases that totally discredit any limiting belief. Write all of this evidence down in a notebook. Put pictures of the success in your notebook. Image how the people feel after achieving the success. So many people have accomplished so many amazing things. There are countless rags to riches success stories. By now you probably see how ridiculous your limiting belief really was. How can that belief be true if other people just like you were able to accomplish the things that you thought were impossible! If you believe you can do something, you can do it.

The next step is to make a plan to get help. This will make the transition much easier. Other people have gone through what you are going through. They can show you the easiest way to get results. Get a trainer or dietitian. Get a tutor. Get a financial advisor. Or, you can simply go to the library and get a book on the subject.

Here is the summary of how to create an empowering belief.

1-Write down your limiting belief. For example, you may believe that you cannot loose weight.
2-Write down the opposite, empowering belief. You can in fact loose weight!
3-Find evidence of people like you who have conquered the limiting belief. Record these stories and pictures in a notebook. Armed with these facts, how can you still hold on to that limiting belief!
4-Get help. Use whatever resources you can. Make it easy for yourself!

2We Are Who We Think We Are
Our beliefs about our selves can be harmful. You are not what others tell you. You can be anything. Do not let others say that you cannot do something. Definetaly do not tell yourself that you cannot do something. If you tell yourself that you are shy, that you cannot speak in public, that you are not an athelete, that you cannot do what it takes, these are all lies. You can do it.
