How to help your diet success by keeping your kitchen clean.



Sometimes when we first start a diet, our minds are not cooperative. Your mind wants to keep you alive! It wants you to store as much fat as possible. It gives you cravings for “efficient” foods that are high in calories compared to their volume (Usually high fat or high carbohydrate foods). When you go on a diet you are rebelling! Your mind may try to come up will all kinds of excuses to get you off of your diet. You have to make dieting as easy as possible so that there are not excuses!

One way to make dieting easier is by keeping your kitchen clean. You need it to be a space where you feel good. Messes actually make you produce stress hormone. These make it easier for your subconscious mind to break your diet. You also need a place to prepare healthy food. You need it to be as easy as possible to get things ready for your diet. If your kitchen is a mess, it is easy to create excuses. You may not have the pot you need. You may not be able to find the healthy food you need. It makes it too easy to grab a quick, unhealthy snack.

Make a rule to clean up immediately. If you make a mess, quickly clean it right then and there! At the end of the day, clean for 5 minutes. Just 5 minutes. Getting started is sometimes the hardest part. If you start for 5 minutes, you will find it very easy to clean for 10 or 15 or until it is totally clean! You will feel great and help your diet as well.
