| 11 | Also Try Using a Spending Notebook |
| Write down everything you spend. It works as well as the diet notebook. I think it is good because you see the costs. When you are dieting and have to write down the calories you see what it is costing you calorie wise and you don't want to do it. Same thing with spending money. When you see and add up everything it is painful!

| Remember to write down everything in your diet notebook. Even the small bites and "tastes". These can add up quickly. When you make a rule to write down everything you tend not to eat things that are vague...things like "bites" and "tastes". You pass them up rather than spend the time trying to figure out the calories.

| I always keep a small pad and pen with me. I note what i eat in there and then transfer the information to my real diet notebook at home.

| The first thing a trainer will tell you or give you is a notebook. Then they will do before pictures and measurements. There is a reason they do this. It really does work.

| It is amazing how fast you forget what you ate for the day! Diet notebook is a necessary part of sticking to a diet. Just do it.

| After a few months, you get it down. You know how much food you need and all the calories and stuff. It is hard work to do the journal at first. Stick with it. The benefit is great.

| When I use a diet notebook I find myself not wanting to eat because I do not want to fill out the stuff! I tend to eat foods that I know about the calories. Is stick to healthy ones.

| A diet notebook is essential! You have to know what you are eating. You can blow your whole diet by adding a bag of Doritos. You need to keep track of food and nutritional info. Nutritional info is available on packaging and many places on the internet. This is good for fast food and packaged food. When you eat at home make sure to also weigh you food. When you guess, you are wrong. Get a food scale and use it. After you use it for a while you get good at guessing weights and calories.
