How to cut calories from your diet, loose weight and improve your health by illiminating high calorie drinks like soda, sweetened tea or lemonade.

A 12 ounce soft drink is almost 150 calories. It contains the equivalent of 9 teaspoons of sugar usually in the form of high fructose corn syrup. If you have two 12 ounce cans of soda per day, this adds up to one extra pound every 12 days! If you can cut this out of your diet you could loose 30 pounds in one year!

One super sized soft drink can be around 42 ounces! This can be up to 525 calories by itself! This is an extra pound every 7 days!

So, soft drinks are bad for you. It is best to switch to pure, refreshing water! What if you are struggling with your cravings? How do you stop drinking those soft drinks?

1. If you have to, switch to diet soda. Diet soda has far less calories. However, it is full of harmful chemicals that are bad for your health and may even disrupt your natural weight regulating hormones. At most, only drink one 12 ounce service of diet soda per day.

2. Make a rule to always drink a tall glass of water before any soft drink. You body may just be craving water. After you drink a glass, wait 5 minutes and see if you still really want that soft drink.

3. Try diluting 1 or 2 ounces of fruit juice with carbonated mineral water. Drink this instead of your normal soda. It will satisfy your sweet tooth.

Try keeping the dangers of soda in your mind: The health problems, the weight gain, the bad chemicals. Keep the benefits of water in your mind: Clear, refreshing water that cleanses your body. The choice is obvious!
