How to manage your weight, have more energy and perform better by getting at least seven hours of sleep.

Make sure to get seven to eight hours of sleep each night. Some people may claim that they can get by with less, but studies show that people who sleep 5 hours or less perform worse than people who get at least 7.

By getting a good night sleep, hormones in your body that control your weight will stay in balance. This will help you maintain a healthy weight. It will also reduce your cravings for carbohydrates and other high calorie foods. You will be more alert and will be better at resisting your cravings.

When you are sleep deprived, your response time slows down. When you get enough sleep, you brain is much better at registering that you a full. As a result, you will get full faster and eat less. You will also be able to concentrate better and be able to solve problems more efficiently.

When you get at least 7 hours of sleep you have far more energy during the day. This increases the likelihood that you will stick to your workout plan.

When you are sleep deprived it is much harder for your body to deal with physical and mental stress. You will be much more likely to suffer injuries and contract illnesses.

Studies also show that your relationships will be better. You will be in a better mood and be more personable.

Get those 7 hours! The result is a much fitter body!

1Never Sleep In
Sleeping in totally throws me off schedule. When I do, I cannot get to sleep that night. Make sure to wake up at same time every day, even if out late the night before.

3Do a relaxation routine
Start an hour before bed. Don't do anything that stimulates you brain. If you are worried about anything, make a list and let it go. Schedule time to complete things the next day. Then just release them from your mind. If you worry about things you cannot control. Accept this. You cannot do anything about it now. Then do some meditation to relax your mind.
