How to Make Yourself Feel Full

Eat healthy foods that fill you up! If you do this, you will not crave those unhealthy snacks.

To increase your chances of sticking to a long term diet you must make sure that it is not painful! That is one of the main problems with fad diets and severe caloric restriction. You get hungry! It is very difficult to stick to a diet when you are constantly hungry!

The trick is to eat foods that make you feel full without getting all the extra calories. One way to do this is to eat foods that have lower calories for their volume. The volume will fill you up and the low calorie count will keep you thin! Studies show that people who eat low calorie to volume foods eat about 26% less.

Try eating the following low calorie per volume foods first:

Soup. It has long been known that soup eaters consume fewer calories. Healthy soups are mostly water, giving them a low calorie count for their volume. Start your meal with a nice bowl of vegetable soup. Just stay away from rich cream based soups!

Salad and vegetables. This is another great reason to eat your vegetables. They are very low in calories and high in water. They will fill you up with a low number of calories. Focus on green leafy vegetables. The fiber content will also decrease your appetite.

Rice cakes. Eat foods like rice cakes that are mostly air. This will trick your mind into thinking it is eating far more calories that it actually is.

2Cucumbers!
Cucumbers are great. Whenever I am feeling hungry I eat one first. After I just seem to forget about my cravings.

Pickles are easy too. No slicing needed. Just grab one. Just be careful of the salt.
