How to achieve what you really want by committing to your interests.

How often do you say what you would like to be? Have you ever said, “I would like to be rich.”? Have you ever said, “I would like to be in great shape.”? Have you ever said, “I would like to give my time and money to my favorite charity.”? How often do you add, “but….” to these statements?

This kind of talk, this “I would like….but….” talk is non-committal. You are stating what you really want. You are describing the person you want to be. But you are letting yourself of the hook. This is like saying “I will try”. Say, “I WILL DO IT!!!!”. If you say you will try, you are basically telling everyone, including yourself, to get ready for failure.

Remove the words “like”, “try” and “but” from your vocabulary. Instead of being wishy-washy, be committed! Be the type of person that takes action! Say “I will be rich!” instead of “I would like to be rich”. Say, “I will be in great shape!” Say, “I WILL DO IT!!!!!”

If you talk like you are committed, you will become committed and you will achieve your goals.

1Do or Do Not! There is no Try!
Don't give yourself an out. Never say "Try". that is so weak. Commit and do it!
