How to control your attitude by changing how you represent things internally.

Two people who go through the same thing can come away from it with totally different feelings. Depending on your attitude, you can take the same event and make it positive or negative. Some people see disaster in every that happens while others find humor and lessons. This is because every person chooses to represent the event differently.

Find positive ways to represent events internally. Find ways that empower you. Take the high road, go positive and you will be happier!

At first it may take a bit of creativity. Sometimes your mind jumps to the most negative conclusion. When people are laughing, you may automatically think they are laughing at you. They are probably not. Is there a more likely explanation? When your husband is late, you may automatically assume that he must be having an affair! He is probably not. Is it more likely that he is stuck in traffic, or lost track of time because he is focused on his work?

Do three things when you are faced with an uncomfortable situation:

1. Ask yourself if you are wrong. Are you just being negative? Is there a more likely, positive explanation?
2. Is there humor in the situation? Will you look back years from now at laugh at this? If so, choose to laugh now!
3. Is there a lesson to be learned? If so, the whole may be a positive experience that will ultimately work out for the best!

Stop thinking of the worst possibilities. When you find yourself worrying, come up with better explanations that empower you.

This one of the most empowering beliefs. Say it now, "I am responsible for that". This makes it clear that you can do something to change the outcome of anything you are involved in. When you start to believe this you then start to change things to make them the way you want!

Snap out of it! You control your happiness. Try smiling or jumping up and down.

Mood can be controled. If a lion was chasing you would you get energy? Would you run? Yes!
