| 9.4 | Family Tip - Ask Your Family How You Can Improve |
|
How to improve your family life by asking them how you can improve.
|
 | Take a piece of paper for each member of your family and write, “I wish you would ____________.” Now hand them out to your family members and ask them to fill in the blank about you. Let them know that you are serious and really want to know what they think.
This is a great way to get feedback from the members of your family. Their needs are written down in black and write. In effect, you are forced to really listen to their concerns. The comments may be negative. If you find yourself getting angry, let it go. THIS IS NOT A TIME TO BE DEFENSIVE. Do not ask for evidence or corner them into arguing their point. This is a time to listen. Ask yourself why they feel this way. Are there any commonalities between their answers?
Now you know what to do. Get to it.

| 2 | Sometimes People Don't Tell You What they Really Want |
| The closer someone is to you the harder it is for them to tell you what you are doing wrong. Emotions cloud logic. They may want to protect your feelings. They may be angry at you. Either way their answers are not accurate. Go to an expert see what they say, tell them you situation honestly. Get to someone out of the situation for advice.
