| 9.4 | Goals Tip - Ask How Questions instead of Why Questions |
|
How to empower yourself and find solutions by asking “how” questions.
|
 | Ask “how” questions instead of “why” questions. When you ask “how can I do that?” you immediately accomplish two things. First, you are telling your mind that you want a specific thing. Second, you are telling your mind to start coming up with solutions.
When you ask “why” questions like “why did that happen to me?” you are searching for blame. You do not put your mind in a resourceful state. These questions do not lead you toward the accomplishment of goals. Instead you become obsessed with blame and you often magnify small things. You will tend to dwell on the negative. This type of thinking is not productive.
By asking “how” questions you will make yourself a doer rather than a blamer.

| 2 | Try it |
| Try it now. Think of something small that you want. Relax for a minute. Now ask yourself "how can I get that?".
