How acting happy can make you feel happy

When you are feeling down, take a few minutes and act like you are happy! Studies show that when you act happy, you can pull yourself out of a bad mood.

Get a picture of the perfect, outgoing person in your mind. How do they act? How do they stand? Is their voice loud or soft? How do they deal with other people? Make a list of these qualities and incorporate them into your act. Get out of the house and put on the show for 5 minutes. You will find that you feel much better. You may even forget that it is an act!

If you can keep it up for several weeks (acting outgoing and happy) you will find that you are more productive, have a better outlook on life and have more fun.

Do everyone around you a favor. People in bad moods are boring. Just cheer up. If you cannot, act like you are happy. Before you know it, you will be happy.

2How You Act Controls How You Feel
Talk to any athelete. They can get themselves in the "zone". They jump around, they do stretches, they listen to music all to change how they feel. You can do the same thing.

3Fake it until you make it
The same rule applies to stress and depression. Fake it! Act like you are happy and before you know it, you forget that it is an act! You become happy.
